In The Fire | December 2018
It has been a little over a year since the ranch has been in full swing. The physical transformation of this place is nothing short of miraculous, but even more impressive is the spiritual transformation that continues to take place in each of us. What has happened here and continues to happen , can only come about by the hand of God, the working of the Holy Spirit. I wish I could go into detail of what God is also doing in the lives of some of our guests, but the wounds run deep and the scars are still too fresh. As they heal, and are prompted to share pieces of their stories to the Glory of God, we will then relay their amazing testimonies of redemption, grace and God’s amazing mercy.
You might be wondering why the name of our newsletter is, “In The Fire”. After all, that doesn’t sound cozy and inviting, exactly, we are not meant to live cozy comfortable lives. We are in battle, and if you aren’t aware of that, then satan has successfully lulled you to sleep. That is exactly how Peter got himself into trouble, instead of engaging in the spiritual warfare, he was warming himself around the enemies fire, as they mocked and beat Jesus. All of us here at the ranch desire to daily step into the refiners fire, burning away the wood, hay and stubble. Burning away all that is of self and refining all that is of God in our lives. We want to be full of the Holy Spirit, so that our guests may truly feel the presence of God here. To be full of the Holy Spirit, we must be emptied of ourselves, hence the constant need of the refiners fire in our lives. It is our heart to daily offer ourselves to be crucified in Christ that He may be alive in us.
Keep us and all who come here in your constant prayers. We still do not at this point have enough donors to cover our expenses, but God is good and we know He has it all figured out.
God Bless You All,
This Christmas Season
